There are different facial expressions that can express different emotions and we also have different words to describe each expression.

Doleful – Sad / Morose

My heart went out to the children on the street and their doleful faces.

Glaring – Staring in an annoyed fashion

Ecstatic – Very joyful/ Extremely joyful
